About Gloria

Teaching Background

Gloria Sherman has been an elementary school teacher for the School District of Philadelphia for 22 years. She has taught grades K–5, served as a teacher for the Mentally Gifted program, and directed Hands on Shakespeare. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is fluent in five languages, and has tutored young children in reading and other subjects for more than 30 years. That experience is the foundation of Teach Your Toddler, her tutoring and parent-education service serving Warminster, Philadelphia, and the surrounding area.

Gloria travels extensively, visiting schools around the world to bring diverse perspectives into her teaching and tutoring practice. Parents and children who work with her benefit from her depth of experience in early childhood education, reading instruction, and individualized learning.
